HP CMAT

HP-CMAT is a common entrance test for admission to MBA program for all the universities affiliated to universities in Himachal Pradesh. In accordance with the UGC guidelines there shall be only one entrance test for all such Institutions.

The Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Technical Education has designated (MBA Deptt.) Institute of Management Studies, HP University, as the Nodal agency for conducting Entrance Test for MBA admission to all the Universities/ Institutions affiliated to universities in HP.

Except for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign National candidates/students, and serving/retired defence personnel, the maximum age limit for all P.G. courses is 26 years provided that in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, the upper age limit will be raised by three years. How to Apply for HPCMAT

The application form along with prospectus can be obtained either from the institute’s cash counter by depositing the required amount or by post by sending a Demand Draft of the required amount in favour of “Director, IMS HP University”, payable at Shimla. The admission is based on competitive examination which comprises of applications ratings, Management Aptitude Test (objective type having multiple choice Questions), group discussion and personal interview.

Eligibility for HP-CMAT

Any first bachelor's degree of a university, established by law in India, at least with 50% marks(45% maks in the case of Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe candidate). The students who are appearing for their final bachelor degree examination shall be allowed to appear in H.P. State Combined Management Aptitude Test (HPCMAT), but their final admission is subject to their satisfying the above said eligibility condition.
